Shipping
How quickly do you ship orders?
Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days. During busy seasons or special events, processing may take slightly longer — but we always work to get your order out as quickly as possible. You’ll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! Orders over $100 qualify for free U.S. shipping, automatically applied at checkout — no code needed. Orders under $100 ship for a flat rate of $7.95.
What shipping carriers do you use?
We ship via USPS and UPS depending on your location and package size. We select the best carrier for each shipment based on speed, reliability, and destination. You’ll always receive tracking information once your order is on its way.
Do you offer express or expedited shipping?
We currently offer standard shipping. If you have a time-sensitive order, please reach out before placing it — we’ll do our best to help.
Contact us at [email protected] or (262) 786-1523.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we may be able to make changes. Please contact us as soon as possible — because we process orders quickly, we can’t guarantee changes, but we’ll always do our best. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be modified or cancelled.
Can I combine multiple orders?
If your orders haven’t shipped yet, we can often combine them to save on shipping. Please reach out as soon as possible after placing your orders.
Do you ship outside the United States?
We currently ship within the United States only. If you’re located outside the U.S. and interested in an order, please contact us — we’re happy to explore options when possible.
I found Patched Works through Facebook, Instagram, or an AI tool. Do your shipping policies still apply?
Yes — all orders fulfilled by Patched Works are subject to our Shipping Policy, regardless of where you discovered us. Your Patched Works order confirmation email is the authoritative record for your shipping charges, estimated delivery, and order details.
Third-party platforms and AI tools may show estimated shipping information that differs from our actual rates. Your confirmation email always controls.
Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?
You have 30 days from your delivery date to request a return or exchange. Items must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging. A receipt or proof of purchase is required.
Full details are in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
How do I start a return?
All returns begin by contacting us directly. In-store customers are welcome to bring items back to the shop. For online and all other orders, email [email protected] with your order number and reason for return, and we’ll guide you through the rest.
Can I return fabric?
Cut yardage is not eligible for return or exchange because it is cut specifically for your order and cannot be restocked. The exception is if the fabric is defective (a manufacturer defect, not a natural variation such as dye lot or texture differences) or if we made a cutting or fulfillment error — in which case we will absolutely make it right.
Can I return sale or discounted items?
Only full-price items are eligible for refunds. Sale or final-sale items cannot be returned or exchanged, regardless of the platform where the sale price was displayed.
I ordered through Instagram Shop or an AI tool — can I still return my order?
Yes. Our Returns & Refunds Policy applies to all purchases regardless of where the transaction originated — our website, in-store, Facebook Shop, Instagram Shop, or any other channel. Please contact us directly at [email protected] to start any return.
Fabric Questions
Will my fabric be cut in one continuous piece?
Yes — when you order multiple yards of the same fabric, we cut them as one continuous piece whenever possible. If you have a specific cutting need, please let us know before placing your order and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
How accurate are fabric colors on screen?
We work hard to photograph fabrics accurately, but colors can vary depending on your screen settings, brightness, and calibration. Fabric is also produced in batches (“dye lots”), so slight variation between bolts is normal and expected in textile production. If color matching is critical for your project, we recommend contacting us before you order.
How is fabric sold?
Fabric is sold by the yard. When you add multiple units of the same fabric to your cart, you’re ordering that many yards. We cut continuous pieces whenever possible — so 3 yards means one 3-yard cut, not three 1-yard cuts.
Do you restock fabrics once they sell out?
Some fabrics may be restocked, but many are seasonal, limited-edition, or part of a designer collection that won’t be reprinted. If you love something, we’d recommend grabbing it while it’s available. You’re welcome to contact us to ask about a specific fabric — we’re always happy to check.
What are dye lots and why do they matter?
Dye lots refer to the production batch a fabric was printed in. Slight color variations between dye lots are normal and not considered defects. If you need multiple yards for a large project and want them to match as closely as possible, order everything at once — or contact us before ordering and we’ll check what’s available from the same bolt.
Fabric Selection & Help
Do you offer help selecting fabrics?
Absolutely — it’s one of our favorite things to do. Whether you’re shopping in-store or online, we’re happy to help you find fabrics that work beautifully together. In-store, just ask any of our team members. Online, send us a message and we’ll guide you.
How do I choose fabrics that go together?
Start with a fabric you love — one that makes you want to create — and build around it. Look for fabrics that share at least one color, vary in scale (a large print paired with a smaller print and a solid), and offer a mix of visual texture. We curate our collections so that fabrics within the same collection are designed to work together.
What are your most popular products?
Customers love our curated bundles, seasonal collections, and themed kits — especially our Halloween, Christmas, and patriotic collections. Designer fabric lines from Moda and Ruby Star Society are perennial favorites, and our beginner-friendly kits are a great starting point if you’re new to quilting.
Do you offer beginner-friendly products?
Yes — we carry patterns, kits, and pre-cut bundles that are perfect for beginners. Kits take the guesswork out of fabric selection and include everything you need for a specific project. Our team is also happy to help you pick the right starting point for your skill level.
